Metalfoam.net - Newsletter No. 2

Metalfoam.net is becoming a quite popular site: since it was first

announced in late July we have had about 2000 visits from 360 different

users and a total of 16000 page calls which is a good start. However, we

would wish to receive more information from the active researchers.

Still, quite some papers and important links must me missing. So please

help us by submitting your work!

The call for papers for MetFoam 2001 (18-20 June 2001 in Bremen) has now

been printed in paper form after it had been available of the web for

some time. If you do not receive the leaflet within the next days,

please write to metfoam@ifam.fhg.de

The German research program on "Cellular Metals" sponsored by the

"Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" will hold its next meeting from 15-16

November 2000 in Bad Griesbach. About 20 existing research projects will

have to be defended and funding for the 3rd and 4th year will have to be

secured.
