Metalfoam.net - Newsletter No. 7 ================================ 1) MetFoam2003 conference 2) "New" companies 3) New research consortium LISA in Europe 4) Jobs in metal foam industries and at institutes 5) Publication list on "metalfoam.net" -------------------------- 1) The 3rd International conference on Cellular Metals and Metal Foaming Technology will be held from 23 to 25th June 2003 in Berlin (Germany) and is the third of a successful series of international conferences on these materials and technologies. Pre-registration has now started. The abstract deadline is November 1st. The final programme will be available by 1st February 2003. Some of the recent new entries include: VASF: a German company making aluminium foam components: http://www.vasf.de (in German) Solea: a French company offering porous materials, e.g. titanium: http://www.solea-sas.com/Porous/Home.htm AlCarbon: a small new company specialising on composites of Al foam and carbon reinforced plastics: http://www.alcarbon.de (in German) Gleich: a German company which deals with the well-known Japanese Alporas foams: http://www.gleich.de (in German) -------------------------- 3) LISA A new research programme with 10 partners from 5 European countries has been initiated and will run for 3 years.
